Barbara has resided in Pleasanton, CA for twenty-five years. Her fine art painting
began 27 years ago. Watercolor, mixed media and pastel are her mediums of choice.

Raised amongst artists, Barbara’s artistic roots run deep and her abilities are home grown. The technique and style developed over the years were influenced by her grandmother, mother, uncle, three sisters and brother who were/are all artists. Her passion for watercolor was borne of the desire to create representational subject matter with brilliant colors and a unique luminescence.

Today she paints in the studio behind her home overlooking the Pleasanton foothills. She creates paintings depicting subjects that are most important to her.

Barbara participates in various Bay Area shows throughout the year. Several years ago, she produced a four-generation art show to exhibit and celebrate the works of the women in her family. The show took place at CJ's Restaurant, located in her hometown of Pleasanton. These included outstanding paintings created by her grandmother, mother, sisters, niece and daughter! The second show of its kind was held at Studio 7 Gallery on Angela St. in Pleasanton in 2002. The idea caught on, and the third show was unveiled at the Studio of Art and Design in Solana Beach, CA in December of 2005.

Barbara has taught workshops out of her studio and in San Diego, CA. She teaches art in the local elementary schools in Pleasanton and at St. Michael’s School in Livermore.
Currently, her work is on display at :
